Assembly Operative – Castle Donington

We are a manufacturer of specialist hospital beds and manage over 25% of the UK’s acute bed and mattress fleet, working with more than 150 hospitals across the UK and Ireland.

We are looking for an Assembly Operative to join us at our manufacturing facility in Castle Donington, Derby and help provide high-quality medical products to customers

The Role

As an Assembly Operative, you will manufacture products in line with production schedules and customer requirements.

Specifically, you will:

– Assemble Medstrom products in line with manufacturing schedules and customer requirements
– Undertake maintenance and general housekeeping of allocated production areas
– Communicate with team members and the Production Team Leader to ensure manufacturing schedules are achieved
– Monitor allocated inventory of raw materials and components for manufacture
– Take good care of allocated company tools
– Ensure any manufacturing issues are escalated as necessary

About You

To join us as an Assembly Operative, you will need:

– The proven ability to adhere to strict production deadlines
– The ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude
– Previous experience of a manufacturing environment would be an advantage, as would experience of using hand tools as the role requires strong dexterity skills

Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm (37.5 hours per week
