North of England Critical Care Conference
On the 12th October 2016, Medstrom exhibited at the North of England Autumn Critical Care Conference in Durham. The conference was attended by 97 Critical Care healthcare professionals from 8 different NHS Trusts.
Medstrom showcased the Dolphin Therapy fluid simulation therapy surface which aids the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers in complex patients, even those for whom repositioning is challenging or impossible.
The MMO 6000 electric profiling low bed assists with safe, supported early mobilisation from the foot end of the bed. Early mobilisation is well documented to improve patient outcomes and reduce length of stay. The MMO 6000 allows easy, safe bed egress for those patients for whom side egress is challenging, whilst significantly improving nursing efficiency and reducing the potential for manual handling injury in nursing staff.
